Integrative counselling is a personalised approach that blends techniques from various therapeutic methods to meet the unique needs of each individual. This allows me to tailor the counselling experience, to offer a comprehensive and individualised support system.
Clinical supervision plays a crucial role in the field of counselling and psychotherapy in providing essential support, helping qualified and trainee counsellors navigate complex challenges effectively to reflect on their work with clients and develop their practice.
I work online or in-person from my private Jersey-based practice, and with clients across the UK via Microsoft Teams. I also offer Walk and Talk therapy sessions.
My private practice room is located on Wharf Street, St. Helier, Jersey JE2 3NR, with buses and parking nearby.

We regularly review how the therapeutical process is working for you and can discuss next steps if you feel ready to stop attending.
It is possible to pause counselling and then re-start at a future point when you are ready to return. It is not uncommon for some clients to take a ‘therapeutic break’ and return to counselling later. We agree this at a planned ending session. Once you are ready to resume, we can re-contract and discuss the available session times and the best option for you.
Being outdoors close to nature helps us to relax, and increases ‘happy’ hormones such as dopamine and serotonin whilst reducing adrenaline and cortisol. The theory is that whilst you are walking you are engaging in physical flow and movement which allows for emotional movement to take place, bringing thoughts, feelings and clarity to the surface.
Integrative counselling. As the name suggests, integrative counselling is a combined approach to psychotherapy that combines different elements of specific therapies. Integrative therapists take the view that there is no single approach that can treat each client in all situations.
Person-centred therapy, also known as client-centred counselling, is a humanistic approach that deals with how individuals perceive themselves consciously rather than how a counsellor can interpret their unconscious thoughts or ideas.
At the heart of the integrative counselling approach is a central premise: that there is no single approach that can explain human functioning and behaviour. Instead, a wide range of theories and systems must be taken into consideration to achieve the widest possible perspective on the workings of the human mind. Some of the common counselling theories or systems that can often be used and integrated into their approach by integrative counsellors.
